Water, Energy & Environment - December 2009

In a move designed to further enhance their service offering and to provide increased strength and expertise to their client base of 1,200 major energy users, leading UK energy consultancies, Broadfern and EIC, are to rebrand with one name.

Since the Broadfern acquisition of EIC in April 2007 a significant amount of energy has been invested in the EIC brand and, from 9 November 2009, the business will be known as 'EIC – The Energy Experts'. The name change is the final step in what has been an extensive process of integration.

The fusion of complementary strengths will ensure continued operational excellence and will enable the combined business to promote the most comprehensive service offering in the energy consultancy sector.

Simon Butterfield, Managing Director of EIC said, "We view the brand integration as an exciting development for everyone involved. The name change has provided a catalyst for innovation and many of our clients will already have experienced the benefits of a more streamlined operation. By putting all our energies into one name, our team of highly capable and qualified experts will continue to serve our clients in a dynamic and volatile energy market".

EIC has offered the highest levels of expertise and assistance to a client base of industrial, commercial and public sector organisations for over 30 years and has developed a reputation built on expert analysis of the electricity, oil and gas markets. Broadfern, established in 1993, is renowned for superior levels of customer service and a forward thinking culture. The new company will offer 7 key energy related services; Risk Management, Portfolio, Procurement, Market Intelligence, Data Solutions, Carbon Management and Water.
